Helgeroa Beaches

Helgeroa is beautifully located to the west of Stavern and north of Nevlunghavn on the Brunlanes coast in Larvik municipality. It is said that Vestfold's most beautiful sunsets can be found here. In the Helgerofjord, the water can become somewhat brackish due to the current from the Skiensvassdraget – but apart from local drains, the water is not very polluted.

Helgeroa has many nice swimming spots to choose from:

Blokkebukta

Here you will find a south-facing shallow beach, 135 meters long, and a west-facing beach, 55 m long. Both with grassy slopes and rocky outcrops. These are camping beaches north of Helgeroa. Non-campers should park in Helgeroa, 700-800 meters from the beaches. The beaches have a kiosk, shop and toilets connected to the campsite.

Omlidstranda/Sandvika

Long shallow beaches between Helgeroa and Mølen. Total length approx. 730 metres. Somewhat rocky in places. The hinterland is largely occupied by camping units. Access from Nevlunghavnveien. Parking outside the entrance to Omlid Camping 150 meters from the nearest beach. The beaches have toilets, rubbish bins and a shop connected to the campsite.

Barkevik/Ødegårdsbukta

Located north of Helgeroa.

Langholtstranda

Narrow sandy beach located south of the harbor area in Helgeroa and Værvågenstranda on the inside of Mølen.

The coastal path at Brunlanes passes the swimming areas.
