The city trail in Larvik

The trail is mostly located between the urban landscapes, but parts of the walk also goes along the streets of the city. The whole trail is approx. 7.5 km long and takes approx. 2.5 hours. You can walk parts of the tour, and you can start wherever you want because the trail circles. The trail goes over 8 peaks and you get several great viewpoints along the walk, including Herregårdsfjellet, Doktorfjellet and Mesterfjellet.

The trail is placed near The manor house, Bøkelia, Hammerdalen, Badeparken, Bøkeskogen, Tyskerfjellet, Thor Heyerdahl’s childhood home and several others industrial-, local-, war- and cultural historical areas.  

The trail is marked with blue poles and can be used all year round. Please note that some parts of the trail may be difficult to access when there is a lot of snow and ice.

Along the trail you will find benches and signs with information.

Avaliability

Some parts of the trail is not accessible with a stroller or wheelchair. Parts of the trail are also more demanding.

Access

The trail is located in central Larvik. The nearest bus stops includes Larvik bibloiotek, Larvik sentrumsterminal, Skrivergården og Jegerborgsgate.
