Kayak
Enjoy a wonderful experience of the sea and the archipelago in a kayak. In kayaking you have the opportunity to paddle into narrow straits and discover special places. In addition, it is good training to paddle in a kayak.
Age: Must be over 16 years old or accompanied by an adult. Having a wet cards is highly recommended.
Place: You can pick up the kayak at entrance at Fredriksvern Verft. From there it is only 100 meters to the water.
SUP
Paddling on a Stand Up Paddleboard is a great way to get out on the water. Enjoy the freedom of movement and relaxation you get from paddling on a SUP, while you get good training in the core muscle. The boards are stable, so you do not have to be afraid to play on the board,
Age: Must be over 16 years old or accompanied by an adult.
Place: The boards can be picked up and paddled straight out from Galeien at Fredriksvern Verft.
Canoe rental is located at Verkstedstranda, close to Eidsfoss Scene.

The archipelago in Vestfold is fantastic, and is perhaps best experienced from kayaking. Kajakkpadling.no offers short introductory courses, educational basic courses and technique courses or a guided tours. Enjoy Færder National Park, experience Norway's oldest city from the water, the summer on Tjøme, check out the car-free island Veierland or all the way to the End of the World.
Security and mastery are key words for the experiences. With many different kayaks, there is definitely one that suits you. You do not need any equipment. Kajakkpadling.no also offer separate courses for children and larger groups in collaboration with several skilled instructors.
The premises are at Tenvik on Nøtterøy, but Kajakkpadling.no offers activities all the way between Kragerø to Holmestrand. Færder National Park, Tjøme, Veierland, Sandefjord, Holmestrand, Nevlunghavn and Helgeroa are their favorites, but are also happy to visit your place on request.
Open all year by appointment, many regular courses and guided tours during the summer season and some through the winter. All equipment is included, including dry suits for winter paddling.

In Vestfold you can paddle along marked and adapted routes of varying difficulty from Svelvik in the north to Larvik in the south.
Several padle huts have been built along the paddle trail, so-called "padlehuker". These huts are open for everyone and vary in size and design. In Færder municipality, you will find the paddle huts at Ildverket and at Østre Bolærne. In Larvik municipality, you will find two paddle hooks on Vestre Bramskjæra, and a smaller model on Ølbergholmen. A paddle hut has also been set up on the old railway route in Holmestrand.

The project has been initiated by the county municipalities in Vestfold and Telemark, and is being carried out in collaboration with the coastal municipalities. Padleled Vestfold and Telemark will contribute to everyone finding suitable and safe trips to paddle along the beautiful Vestfold coast, through marking, signage, establishment of simple accommodation and other facilities.
The Lake Borre (Borrevannet) is about 2 km², and has status as a reservoir due to a diverse plant and animal life.

There are approximately 255 registered bird species around Lake Borre. The lake also has a rich marine life with 9 different fish species. Hence it is not surprising that this magnificent area is protected by law to preserve its animal life.
Fishing in Lake Borre
The Borre Lake is one of Norway's most exciting ponds for pike fishing. Catching fish of 1 meters is not uncommon – the record is 18 kg! Lake Borre also has a lot of perch, where 2 kg catches happens regularly.
