One of Norway's best fishing lakes
For several years in a row, Numedalslågen has been ranked as one of Norway's 5 best salmon waters. Here is good opportunities to catch wild salmon and sea trout. The good fishing spots are many; Among them we can mention Holmfoss, Brufoss, Naugfossen, Hoggtveita and Kjærrafossen. The lake has both waterfall, canyon, strong current and flat river.
Fly and raft fishing
In the Numedalslågen historical capture methods are still in use. One of these is called raft fishing. This form of fishing takes place in the quiet lower parts of the Låg. For fly fishing there is very good conditions in Brufoss.

Fishing regulations in the Numedalslågen are as follows:
From Larvik to Holmfoss fishing from mid May to 20 August.
Upstream Holmfoss to Hvittingfoss fishing from 10 June to the end of August.
Salmon usually comes to Kjærrafossen in early June and arrives at Brufoss in late June.

The Lake Borre (Borrevannet) is about 2 km², and has status as a reservoir due to a diverse plant and animal life.
Wild life reservoir
There are approximately 255 registered bird species around Lake Borre. The lake also has a rich marine life with 9 different fish species. Hence it is not surprising that this magnificent area is protected by law to preserve its animal life.
Fishing in Lake Borre
The Borre Lake is one of Norway's most exciting ponds for pike fishing. Catching fish of 1 meters is not uncommon – the record is 18 kg! Lake Borre also has a lot of perch, where 2 kg catches happens regularly.

Pike, Perch, Eel (protected), Tench, Common rudd, Common bleak, Bream, Zander (protected) and Common roach.
Fishing from quays and rocks is popular. Løvøya is well suited.
