Outdoor climbing in Vestfold

Along the coast from Helgeroa to Tønsberg, there are a lot of great climbing areas for those who like vertical sports. Currently there are around 50 climbing fields / crags and a total of over 2000 routes to choose from. Rope climbing, sports routes, DWS and high-quality bouldering. 

SaVe climbing and Stavern bouldering club are taking care of, and develop the fields continuously.

All fields can be used free of charge, and bouldering mats and other equipment can also be borrowed/rented from SaVe climbing.

Some of the most popular fields!
Oksås – Sandefjord: Great cliff with a short approach, around 70 routes with sports and trad, child-friendly.
Mokollen – Sandefjord: Close to the city and with a fantastic view of the city. Sport and trad, 50 routes.
Husvik – Tønsberg: A pleasant and child-friendly field with bouldering, sport and trad in true union, around 80 routes to choose from.
Hvasser – Færder: Here there are around 140 boulders and 14 trad lines of high quality.
Ula – Larvik: More than 470 boulders and over 70 trad lines.

Ice skating rink in Sandefjord

The ice skating rink in Thor Dahls gate in Sandefjord is open from november till the last of march. The ice is affected by the weather and after much rain and snow some time must be calculated to re-establish the ice. The ice skating rink is free to use, and you must bring your own skates. You can also borrow skates from Sandefjord frivilligsentral, or they have some for rent in Bykiosken.

You are not allowed to bring a puck or a hockeystick on the ice.

Rush trampolinepark

At Rush, both children and adults can be challenged with fun activities and high tricks!

Norway's first large trampoline park was openend by Rush June 2016 in Oslo, and has since then established several parks around the country.

All the parks have their own café and arrange birthday parties and other events for groups and companies. Rush Trampoline Park's goal is to be the coolest experience and activity park in your local area.

BUA – sports and leisure equipment

What is BUA?
BUA is Larvik municipality's equipment shed, where everyone can borrow sports and leisure equipment. With equipment from BUA it is easy for children and young people to try more varied activities. BUA works as a library where you borrow equipment for up to a week and return it.

Where is BUA?
BUA is located in Kristian Fredriksvei 3, 1st flooor of "Verdensmesteren" school and opposite Farrishallen. Open monday, wednesday and fridays from 2 p.m to 6 p.m.

How to borrow equipment
Everyone is encouraged to register their own loan profile before borrowing. This is done at http://www.bua.io/registrer?redirect=%2F

When you are in BUA, you will find the equipment you want to borrow or talk to those who work at BUA. The first time you borrow from us, you must show identification. If you are under 18, you must bring an adult with you for the first time (someone who is over 18 and responsible for the loan).

Færder&Tønsberg365 provides an overview of bookable activities and experiences in the municipalities of Tønsberg and Færder. Many tourism operators are open to small groups and offer nature-based experiences. How about a kayak course, climb a separate Via-Ferrata trail, take a boat taxi to one of the islands or wade into the world of the Vikings where they are busy building boats?

Bybadet i Sandefjord – Strømbadet

Sandefjord's city bath "Strømbadet" opened in the summer of 2020. 

The bath is located on the left of "hesteskoens" (horse shoe) left pier on Hjernesstranda.

Service building with toilets, showers and laundry room for washing and drying clothes.

During periods of prolonged or heavy rainfall, there may be transient poor bath water quality surrounding Strømbadet. This will be warned with red light upon arrival at the area. Swimming is not recommended when the red light is present. 

You will find a large parking lot at the junction Sandefjordsveien – Strandpromenaden.

Kajakkpadling.no – Padleglede med Tine Raisbæk

The archipelago in Vestfold is fantastic, and is perhaps best experienced from kayaking. Kajakkpadling.no offers short introductory courses, educational basic courses and technique courses or a guided tours. Enjoy Færder National Park, experience Norway's oldest city from the water, the summer on Tjøme, check out the car-free island Veierland or all the way to the End of the World. 

Security and mastery are key words for the experiences. With many different kayaks, there is definitely one that suits you. You do not need any equipment. Kajakkpadling.no also offer separate courses for children and larger groups in collaboration with several skilled instructors. 

The premises are at Tenvik on Nøtterøy, but Kajakkpadling.no offers activities all the way between Kragerø to Holmestrand. Færder National Park, Tjøme, Veierland, Sandefjord, Holmestrand, Nevlunghavn and Helgeroa are their favorites, but are also happy to visit your place on request. 

Open all year by appointment, many regular courses and guided tours during the summer season and some through the winter. All equipment is included, including dry suits for winter paddling.
