In Alonsohuset's garden, you can stroll around and enjoy the day, sit down with a coffee or cold drink in one of the many charming places around the garden, and find inspiration for your own garden projects. In the garden you can also meet the house's chickens and cats.
In the old stable you will find the shop used finds, vintage, antique, new and redesign together with products from other local manufacturers. Visitors can buy hot and cold drinks, a piece of cake, ice cream and sometimes simple food.
Opening hours

There is free admission to the garden, but special events have entrance fees.

Throughout the year, Alonsohuset also has its own events such as concerts, afternoon tea and art in the garden. The events are announced on the website and social media.

Parking and accessibility
There are limited parking spaces, so feel free to arrive by bike or bus. Buses 138 and 163 stop just outside. The stop is called Alonso. Bus times on www.vkt.no.
There is limited accessibility for the disabled / wheelchair users because of gravel paths and steps and doorsteps inside. Contact Alonsohuset if you have any questions.

Hjortegården is located with a short distance from the E18, close to Borgeskogen in a rural setting on a small hill with a view of forests, fields and meadows. The garden is approx. 4 acres. From the garden you can sit down and enjoy the view of the deers and plants.
Opening hours – Open garden and visitor garden
Hjortegården is open on the following days in 2025: July 13., 19. and 20. from 12.00-16.00 with deer feeding at 14.00. Sale of coffee and ice cream.

The Gamkinn family deer farm breeds and sells deer. It is possible to buy meat products and home-baked flatbread from the farm.
