Thor Heyerdahl grew up in Steingata 7 in Larvik. From his room he had an inspiring seaview. 

Guidet tours in Thor Heyerdahls childhood home, Thursdays during the summer season.

12:00-13:00 with Larvik Historielag.

13:00-14:00 by representatives from the Thor Heyerdahl Institute. (Norwegian and English).

Visitors can use both times.

*Exceptions: June 26 and July 10th.

The Thor Heyerdahl Institute can also offer a VR experience – a game about Thor Heyerdahl that is fun for all generations in the Thor Heyerdahl home. Audioguide (Norwegian and English) Thor Heyerdahl trail of approx. 1 hour, can be downloaded from Voice of Norway, walk around.
