The beautiful former home of shipping magnate and philanthropist Anders Jahre is now owned by the Norwegian Government. It was the home of Anders and his wife Bess until his death in 1982, and Bess continued to live there until her death in the summer of 2006. The estate, which has a unique park containing a number of sculptures and with fantastic views over the Sandefjord fjord, is open to the general public.
